exclusive food & wine experiences in Sicily

About us

Our past

During the years, in our journeys, we found ourselves more and more interested in discovering cuisine as a key to better understand foreign countries and their culture. Maybe we had to travel a little bit to understand the value of Sicilian cuisine, so rich and deeply connected with Sicily’s millennial history and its many different influences: Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Spanish, French… We started looking at our Island with new eyes and we felt like we needed to share that vision with other people, by revealing Sicily in a different way.
So, we decided to start a business based on our cultural background – we all come from humanistic studies – matched with our knowledge of Sicily and its products and, of course, our passion and technical skill in cooking. And Cotumè came to life with Loredana as its leader.

Our present

Cotumè proposes unique and engaging food & wine experiences in Sicily: hands-on cooking classes, food tours and team building activities, tailored for small to large groups, from families and friends to business groups.
Our activities take place in some exclusive venues in Catania, Syracuse, Taormina and Mt. Etna: awarded wineries, art hotels, noble palaces, country mansions, luxury villas. Of course, we didn’t forget the historical food markets, for a true immersion in some of the most authentic places of our Island.
Enriched by food-storytelling and the guided visits of the venues, our activities are like a cultural journey of Sicily through the experience of cooking and the pleasure of the best food and wine.
The personal chef service provided in private villas complements our other activities.
